Symptoms Of Quitting Smoking

They start thinking that they can’t handle all those symptoms so they decide not to quit, this is a very wrong decision as it is better to suffer from those symptoms for a short while as they are not permanent rather then killing yourself with the toxic chemicals you intake every time you smoke a cigarette.

The symptoms of quitting smoking often appear within the first few days or weeks, they can be normal to severe but all you have to do is keep up the good work and don’t give up on your life. Keep going because you just need to keep in mind that the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal take around one week so any craving you have for cigarettes after that is just a bad habit and it can go away after some time. They are not permanent, these symptoms occur because your body has got used to the amount of nicotine supply so without the nicotine supply your body will react against it’s self for more nicotine. So be sure that during these days you will be craving for cigarettes but once you take one of them you will lose everything so the best thing is to focus on your goal and never give up here are some of the symptoms which occur within the first week:

Weight Gain:
That is right, during your first week without a supply of nicotine your body will start to gain more weight. This is actually caused by many reasons one of them is because nicotine works on burning extra calories in your body so your body gets used to nicotine in order to burn the calories so without nicotine there will be no burning of extra calories and people often substitute cigarettes for food and sweets due to better taste after quitting so they gain more calories without burning.

Headaches:
Headaches and the inability to concentrate is one of the most common symptoms after quitting smoking this is because your brain’s need of nicotine for functioning well that’s because your body got used to nicotine on every function of the brain you will experience headaches after quitting smoking constantly and you will be unable to concentrate.

Cough:
Coughing is another normal symptom of quitting smoking it is also a good sign that your lungs are clearing up from smoke and toxic chemicals and all those unwanted stuff from smoking that’s why we will cough on a regular basis after quitting smoking so don’t worry you are doing good just keep the good work and never give up that’s the key to quit smoking.

Other Symptoms That May Occur:

There are many other symptoms which can occur as well such as:
1. Craving For Cigarettes.
2. Dizziness.
3. Impatience.
4. Fatigue

Many other symptoms can also occur just be sure that those symptoms are not permanent and they will be gone after awhile and make sure you stay in touch with your doctor.
