Yes. Take a look at http://stopsmoking.eu.pn/
It proposes a method in which there is no weight gaining and it's free.

When I quit smoking,I didnt gain any weight.
I went for a walk every day and I was careful with what I ate.
I also took a green tea supplement to help detox my body.
Ive been smoke free for almost 4 years.I workout at least 5 times a week.
I will never regret giving up smoking.
Good Luck!

Problem is... you are eliminating a stimulant to your system... without replacing it. And therefore your body takes that as a sign that you need to start storing up fat cells.
The best way to Quit Smoking is to quit smoking the tobacco... but keep the nicotine. Continue to get the stimulant... but get it in a healthier way.
Take a look at Healthy Cigarettes.
Its a way to continue to get your nicotine in a safe and cancer free way. Nicotine is not a carcinogenic and therefore does not cause cancer all by itself. I have a youtube video listed here below that help explains some of the benefits and quitting tobacco cigarettes in favor of healthy cigarettes.
Hope this helps some of you out there that a struggling with an addiction that you just can't kick. At least there is now a healthier way to get you nicotine that is better for you and those around you.

tough situation, but if you're really dedicated to your goals, its possible to get what you want.
while quitting smoking, i'd say it's probably dangerous to push yourself physically. don't run or do your normal kind of weight-loss training, but walk and bike as much as you can. keep yourself able to move, that's gonna be your goal during the time you're quitting smoking.
as soon as you're confident that you've lost a great deal of dependency on smoking, then start to run and bike a bit and do some mild workouts. eventually, you'll be right where you want to be.
basically, its impossible to do it all in one step, but yes it is possible for you to quit and lose some weight.
