		<description>Well now lets see I smoked for over 40 years and quit 9 years after I quit I had cancer on my vocal cords had to become a laryngectomee and lost my voice and breath thru a hole in my neck that was 8 years ago and I&#039;m lucky to be alive and cancer free today so hopefully you quit soon enough Good luck to you. You made a good choice!!!</description>

Also, now your lungs don&#039;t have to breathe in all that disgusting junk!!! You probably feel like a very healthy person. Congrats on quitting!!! Many people can&#039;t quit, so you must be a very strong minded person.

And your risk of cardiovascular events should go to normal with in a year. Just keep in mnd that some of the damage never goes away. If you resume smoking, you&#039;ll essentially be picking up where you left off, riskwise, and eventually you&#039;ll get to the point where you have a serious added risk of eventually developing lung cancer, emphysema, and other smoking-related illnesses.
You&#039;re lucky. It took me longer to quit. I checked it out online and my cancer risk will never go all the way down.</description>
