Do You Get Nicotine From Cigars?

My friends and I have a once a month poker night (all girls) and we smoke cigars while we play. I don’t inhale, so am I getting nicotine? I’ve smoked cigarettes before, although I don’t usually, and I know they have given me a buzz, but cigars don’t seem to do that.

   Because cigars are not usually inhaled the amount of nicotine and the absorption rate/ intensity is reduced. But yes you do get some. I smoke cigarettes because they are more convenient but prefer cigars. Just that I don’t often have time to enjoy a good cigar.
   P.S. I would I like to play poker, smoke a cigar and sip a decent whisky. I would love to be invited to a game with a bunch of cigar smokin’ poker playin’ women. To cool.

   Yes…
   With cigars…
   Whether or not you inhale directly…if you’re in a room full of cigar smokers…
   You gonna get some nicotine in your system…most cigar smokers won’t admit it, but they secretly inhale a little to get a good nicotine buzz going…(don’t ask me how I know this…hee hee)

   yes you do, but the rate of absorption is slower that is why you don’t get the buzz. The nicotine absorbs through the skin as opposed to inhaled.

   Yes nicotine and IMHO cigars are dirtier than cigarettes, but then again cigarettes are harder to quit than cigars.

   Cigars – cigarettes all the same. You can still get hooked on them . All are bad for you.You just traded one for another.

   Yes, but there aren’t as many chemicals in cigars. The chemicals make cigs more addicting.

    yes, even if you don’t inhale nicotine is absorbed when the hot smoke is in your mouth.

    Girl… There are 8.000 chemicals in tabacco smoke. Nicotine is just one of them! Whoever tells you it’s not as bad as that is a lying or ignorant %$@.
    That’s why EVERY part of your body is getting sick when smoking or when inhaling second hand smoke.

    Yup. All tobacco has nicotine in it.
    Cigars are the more pure form of tobacco.
    Cigarretes are the poison.
