Pretty sad really when you think about it. I know things have changed but I still think the shopkeeper shouldn't have sold me a pack - but then again I would have got my older brother to buy them for me anyway probably. I recently ruined everyone's night out at a bar so that I could get them to go to a house where I could smoke on the balcony. Smokers will start fights, do nearly anything to create a situtation that "justifies" their smoking - read allows them to get their fix. Because yes, we do believe the cigarettes are the only things giving us peace/happiness, etc. As a 60+ a day smoker, I can only confirm that we ARE junkies. I have little to no willpower, I get the thought in my head to quit, but then I just put that thought aside (like alot of things in my life) I would say I have a fairly addictive personality, so it's been hard even thinking about quitting. I wish I never started, but now I have to go through the trouble of stopping, if I even can. This is a wonderful video,

I'm surprized you metioned the stop smoking book, because a friend had given me that book a year back after they had read it and quit, i'd never thought that by reading a book would help me drop my habit, but now that you've talked about it as well has given me a clear sign to go grab it and read it til the very last page.
