Image via Wikipedia Smoking tobacco is actually 3 times as deadly compared to Cancer. The side effects can vary from coughing to even a heart attack. Let us see the evil effects of smoking…..
It attacks your oxygen intake efficiency and can cause numerous health problems, as Oxygen is the prime source of energy to the body by aerobic respiration. Oxygen also keeps you healthy and energetic as it supplies energy to the cells.
The other problem it causes is the damage of cilia, which helps in the movement of the Red Blood Cells White Blood Cells and platelets in the blood. When the cilia get damaged it invites cardiac problems as the blood struggles to pass through the arteries.
Due to poor circulation of blood, the skin cells are also adversely affected, resulting in the premature formation of old, wrinkled skin. Normally smokers develop such symptoms if they are addicted to it for a long time, whereas non smokers have a much better chance of retaining good, healthy skin.
Breathing problems are also invited by smoking as the alveoli of the lungs get severely affected. They serve to transport the respiratory gases Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide, thus helping in gaseous exchange. When they die, new alveoli develop, but they may not retain the same health characteristics compared to the original alveoli prior to smoking.
All this further affects the lungs, often resulting in Emphysema, Bronchitis, COPD and other severe chronic illnesses. The oxygen deficiency in the blood results in the development of all these disorders.
The addiction process is actually very dangerous, as cigarettes and other tobacco products contain Nicotine which creates side effects when someone has stopped smoking or consuming the tobacco products. These side effects will make the person feel that he needs to smoke again. So better it is always better to follow the old adage “Prevention is better than Cure” When it comes to smoking.
Nicotine is the culprit which causes the side effects once a person stops smoking, making him feel he should smoke again. The side effects can include irritability, headaches, increased tension and lack of concentration. It is the real master making the smoker its slave.
Recent studies have concluded that a milligram of nicotine when placed on the skin of rats kills the rodents. So just imagine, by smoking each cigarette, you consume the same amount of nicotine to your body. Nicotine is a deadly poison!
So it is of course far better stay away from cigars & cigarettes as smoking cause depletion of oxygen numerous tissues and cells are adversely affected making you feel weak. Remember Oxygen is the source of life and energy. Besides smoking also causes dental problems, accumulation of fats and affects other organs of the body.
You can still stop smoking if you are doing it still, It is never too late. Always remember “Health Is Wealth” and tobacco kills your invaluable health which is a gift from God!
