Here’s a good reason to kick the habit…your pet’s health.

There is growing evidence that second-hand smoking is causing serious illness in pets.

With medical studies showing cats suffer terribly with chronic inhalation, unlucky feline passive smokers have been known to contract bronchial disease. In the worst cases, cats exposed to smoke daily had a much higher chance of developing oral cancers and lymphoma.

Dogs have suffered from lung cancer after spending lots of time with smoking owners.

Even birds are affected, with second-hand smoke found to give them cancer and eye, skin and heart problems.

Some pet owners who smoke are reconsidering their habits, with one in three saying they might quit, according to a survey.

So why not join them – and keep you and your pet healthy.
