Side Effects Of Smoking
Cigarettes are killers and are a poison that is out and freely available in society Smoking can lead to several major health problems and conditions and can lead to untimely death. Smoking is causing more than 400,000 deaths every year in the USA alone.
Image via Wikipedia Every 8 seconds a person dies from smoking and thousands of people are quitting smoking each year in the USA. It is in the best interest of our children to know more about smoking and how bad it is because people who begin to smoke often begin during their teenage years. Two causes for this are because of their parents being smokers or their friends who are encouraging them to be smokers by making them think it’s kind a cool to smoke, so we have to teach our children about smoking and how it can change and effect their life and the life of their loved ones.
Even smokers experience the feeling of being uncomfortable, ill and upset. Always smoking has many side effects that can lead to death. Here are some of the side effects of cigarettes:

Cancer is one of the most common diseases that are triggered through smoking cigarettes and tobacco products. When a man becomes a smoker he is more likely to have lung cancer than men who are non smokers by 20 times and when a women becomes a smoker she is more likely to have lung cancer 15 times more than the non smoking women. 90% of cancer caused deaths in men is caused by smoking and 80% of cancer death’s in women is caused by cancer, there are many other types of cancer which can occur due to smoking such as oral cancer, which is a disgusting cancer which will eat up through your mouth there are many other types of cancer that can occur through smoking which I didn’t mention.
Cardiovascular Disease:
Smoking can cause coronary heart disease which is the leading cause of death in the US. A smoker is more likely to end up with cardiovascular disease by 2-4 times than a non smoker, a smoker also has a doubled risk of stroke.
Buerger’s Disease:
Buerger disease (thromboangiitis obliterans) is a disease that is usually caused by smoking or chewing tobacco it is causes the blood circulation to stop in different parts of your body thus creating severe pain in different parts of the individual. Sufferers may also experience other disorders such as gangrene, skin ulcerations et al.
There are many other diseases that are caused by smoking. The effects of smoking on your health are countless, it can damage your skin, it can damage your life and it can damage your family and destroy everything in your life so what are you waiting? Quit Smoking Today!
