My sister stopped smoking after reading a book believe it or not susie. She read “how to be a happy non smoker” by a guy called allen carr.He was known as the worlds leading expert in helping people to stop smoking,he’s dead now but he devoted half of his life to helping people break the habbit. He used to smoke 100 cigs per day and he shares his knowledge in his book and my sister stopped smoking instantly after reading the book and hasnt smoked for 6 years. Its hard to believe it but his book has helped millions of people around the world quit,in a painless way without needing much will power. My sister gave me the book and i read it but i wasnt taking in everything he was saying coz i have a bad memory and its important that you listen to all of his advice so im in the process of reading it again and i think i will quit this time. His advice is amazing it really is, he doesnt lecture you about smoking he tells you the facts and helps you to see through the illusions about smoking,he calls it the nicotine trap. Here is his website,i highly recommend you get the book im pretty sure it will help you in your quest to stop smoking painlessly and easily.Even if your uncertain or you still doubht what im saying get the book anyway the worst that can happen is you will stop smoking =) after all how is stopping smoking a bad thing ? You get no benefits what so ever from smoking.

    1. I used the Nicorette lozengers
    2. Took about a 4 to 5 days for the bad cravings to disappear, but a few months for the notion to go.
    3. Yes I put on weight and unfortunately I have had a battle with my weight since I stopped smoking over 4 years ago. I am not grossly overweight, i,m just a wee bit on the cuddly side.
    4. The immediate benefits are on your purse. You will notice a big difference if you are a heavy smoker. Also you do not smell, when you have been a non smoker for a while you find the smell off some people who smoke really revolting.
Long term benefits is your health, you feel better, can breathe easier, don`t cough.
I would never go back on the cigarettes and I am nearly 50. So my advice is to stop, if I can do it then so can anyone.
    best wishes
