How Can I Convince My Friend To Stop Smoking Weed?
I just found out my friend smokes weed, and i have tried to get him to stop for like a month now. What can i do to get him off of it. So far he doenst care that its illegal and doenst seem to care when i threaten to call his parents. When i try to get him with facts he comes bk with different websites contradicting me by saying that weed can be used to cure disease and that it is not harmful to your body and stuff. Plz help

tell someone.
not to be a goody goody or anything, but youve pretty much done as much as you can as a friend, you’ve showed him websites with facts and told him that you will tell someone.
now go along with that threat. he refused to quit. so you must do it. don’t be a pushover. your friend needs help. if you were smoking weed, and you were practically killing yourself, wouldnt you want someone to help you?

Well, tell him it gives him bad breath, bad teeth, bad health, bad sex life. He’ll never kiss another girl if he continues. And if the girl do smoke weed, does he want her with bad tabacco breath?
And I’m serious. Heard it on the radio.
The weed MAY cure, but have many side-effects like addiction, cancer, yada yada.
More harm than good.
And they have to promote the weed right? Or it won’t sell.

Tell him he’s a bad influence on you and you wont be his friend if he doesn’t stop. If he’s a good friend he’ll stop.

you can’t the decision to stop must come from him.the only thing you can do is to tell him your concern and you don’t want him to waste his life.

let me tell you something….its always hard to help someone with out getting them in trouble…..and weed doesn’t cure any kind of disease, they prescribe it to cancer patients to help them deal with the pain.
so if i where you i wouldn’t buy any of that bull if i were you….and in fact it is harmful to your body, it destroys brain cells until you are basically fried….
all drugs cause some kind of hard on your body…except LSD and what that does is make you hallucinate…(but that is not and excuse to use it because more people have died from that then all the other drugs..) the bad thing about it is not the hallucinations….but the fact that you can relapse real easy even if you haven’t takin it in awhile…..there was this lady that went to work one day and relapsed from it and she thought she was a bird and could fly so she jumped off a multistory building and she died….
but anyway you need to stop treating him and just tell the cops…because no matter how bad it is to rat out a friend… would you rather him be angry at you or would you rather see him addicted to drugs and slowly waisting his life….
because he hasn’t seen what drugs can get you into or he wouldn’t be doing it…..so i don’t think a little while in jail will hurt him any…it might even scare him into straighting up a little bit….
im just saying that that is what i would do…..

i am with you on this, not a lot of people know how frustrating it is to have a close friend who does drugs, even if it is “just” weed.
- tell him that weed is a starter drug, which it is, once you get the high from weed you want to try other highs, more addicting ones at that.
- if you are a believer then tell him that God didn’t intend people to be living with that feeling, we were meant to be focused.
- talk to him and warn him about the financial problems he will have when he moves into a house and wants to start a family.
just talk to him, if he doesn’t listen, tell him not to do it around you and hopefully it will just hit him one day and wonder what he is thinking.

Okay here is what you do. If you are ever there when he gets high. And you know where his weed is. Wait till he goes to sleep. And he will go to sleep because the side effects are hungry happy sleep. Go hide his weed. It may not get him to stop but it sure as hell will give you a good laugh to watch him look for it! I did this once to my EX boyfriend I am tellin ya dude its funnier than comedy central!

When he smoke to other people that is second hand smoke which is worst than what he is doing . Try staying around him and might start feeling guitly to smoke around u
