You cannot make someone do something that they do not want to do. All you can do is keep reminding her that she is shortening her life and you want her around for graduations, marriage, children, etc. and if she keeps smoking, she won’t be there. You have to keep this personal, not what is best for her, otherwise she will just tune you out. Also, stopping smoking is very, very hard for most people. They need the assistance of their physician, some medication and taking a stop-smoking class in order to be successful. Someday, maybe she will be ready.

Well, too much smoking can cause black lung disease and people dye earlier. Use some kind of patch that will help, other than that, the true way is to believe in yourself, stop. Think to yourself, I can stop naturally. It’s hard with all the addictiveness. But believing in yourself can help a lot. You can do it.
