I suppose about £15- £20 a session is what I would pay for hypnotherapy. I am not a smoker and suspect that nicotine patches have the edge over hypnotherapy, these are often availiable on the NHS.
I heard a hypnotherapist on the radio say that people should beware of having more than 2 or 3 sessions because if it has not worked by then it never will.

I paid $35 and that was too much. Hypnosis rarely works for addictions, and even when it does work, for instance in overcoming fears, it takes many, many sessions.
Snake oil salesmen are a dime a dozen. Don’t become one of them.

Nothing at all! Went to free hypnotic classes to quit smoking, didn’t work for either my friend or me even getting a free tape to play while we slept.

I wouldn’t pay you until you could actually hypnotize me. So far no one has managed.
I do know that people in the south-east (UK) will pay up to £35.00 for a tarot reading. That works out at about £70.00 an hour.
I wouldn’t pay it.

I wouldn”t pay a thing, I quit cold turkey six years ago and if you are determined and have the will power it don’t cost anything…. i must admit it took 2 years to accomplish but never give up… it can be done!!!!

Hopefully not much, statistically hypnosis comes out little better than placebo. There is a little evidence that people who go out of their way to pay for anything to stop smoking, already show better than average motivation and have higher success rates than comparable groups, that however is due to the motivation not the method. For example people who get their NRT patches for free on the NHS do slightly worse than those that pay for the same patches.

i wouldn’t pay anything. when i decided to stop smoking i just stopped smoking. that’s it. one day i decided i am not smoking any more and i don’t since that. just yeaterday decided to check whether i even like smoking – i tried to smoke one cigarette. guess what – i couldn’t. it was very unpleasant. so i say your free will is free and works much better than hypnosis

My husband and I went for hypnosis a year past in February. We each paid £55. He hasn’t lit a cigrette since, and i lasted a week.I can’t say the hypnosis didn’t work as I had no cravings at all for that first week, but my daughter went into labour and that was me, I lit a cig and started again

Honestly, I wouldn’t do it if it was free. (no spite intended)

I would pay a lot of money but you don’t need hypnosis. You just need to stop smoking but how about every time you need a cigarette you suck on a sucker. If you want it that bad you can stop and I know it’ll be hard. But’s it’s one simple question how bad do you really want to stop smoking? That answer will be your determination to stop and to quit.
