Don’t get hard on yourself and use smoking to cure the bad feelings you are creating. Use smoking as a reward for something positive that you’ve done that day. For example when I was having those same feelings I made an agreement with myself that I could only smoke if I went to the gym and worked out that day. After about a month of sticking with that routine I was feeling so good from the gym that I naturally cut back on weed, and now I only smoke on social occasions with friends. Hope that helps

Try visualizing all the negative effects this will be having on you when you are 50, 60 and hopefully 70 if you make it that far with those lungs. Really, focus, this is how I quit smoking after 40 years. I developed a mild case of emphysema and asthma. I am on lifelong medication, but my quitting gave me back some time. I did what Clinton did for 2-3 months, I took the smoke in but never inhaled. This made my mouth so gross tasting that I finally put it down. I have not smoked for 3 years and never will again. One withdrawal, which wasn’t as bad as I thought, because I was scared sh*#less, was enough for me. Good luck, you can do it.

Well i have been smokin dope now for best part of 35 years. The missus doesnt want me to give it up because it would make me a nightmare to live with, sadly that seems to be normal with us long term smokers, just like smoking fags i suppose we become reliant on a joint in the same way some rely on a fag.
On top of that you do risk changing your whole circle of freinds as conversation is never as enjoyable amongst smoking freinds when you give up yourself.
Good luck with trying, but i’ll have one rolled ready for when you quit trying..

You use the good weed to deal with problems that exist in your life. Some people use it as a way to relax.
Pot is not heavily physiologically addictive, because the withdrawal is mild. It is stored in your fat and so you withdraw slowly.
The main issue is psychological dependence. Maybe you need to find other ways to stop being angry. Maybe take up sport, go for long walks, play computer games, get a massage, get a bondage mistress to tie you up and whip you….it all depends on what works for you.
Maybe you need to deal with the problems in your life, and you will need the whacky Tabaccy less. Though you could consider mild use of ganja.
Remember it contains 200 known cancer causing substances and with sustained use causes loss of short-term memory and a tendency to listen to Pink Floyd over and over again.

well my friend… you are addicted. Any and every addiction in not easy to break. It is going to be extremely hard but will be well worth it in the long run. You are basically going to have to push yourself through your cravings and instead of thinking “I love getting stoned”, maybe tell yourself that being stoned kind of sucks and really isn’t that cool (because it really isn’t, right). Start a project or take on some hobbies besides smoking weed. Once your fight your way through a few cravings, you will see it gets easier and easier until you won’t even have to fight them anymore. Now you can look forward to spending your extra money on some cool stuff, instead of more weed. You might not want to take the advice on getting some “uppers” from your dealer, that will just end up being another addiction to break or lead you back down the same path when that effect wares off.

If you feeling anger over deprivation, you need some medical help to overcome this addiction. Your reasons for dependency have changed and you need to find out what they are and deal with them.

It won’t work until you get rid of all the weed you have. It’s too much of a temptation if it’s there. For the mood stuff, maybe you can ask your doctor for an antidepressant. They use Wellbutrin to help ppl stop smoking cigs. You don’t have to stay on it forever, just wean yourself off it slowly after a few months. It may also help to fiind something else to do when you get the urge to smoke. Going for a walk or some other exercise helps with the brain chemical/mood stuff, too.

I’ve been through addictions problems in the past –with alcohol and Valium–and the best thing i did was join AA but they have a NA–for other drugs than alcohol. I made it almost 7 years and slipped up but the things I found and the people who helped me I have never forgotten, and now I don’t want to use continuously but more like a social drinker with no problems. It’s like waiting in line to see a movie and when you get to the ticket booth they ask $100. dollars–just too big a price to pay for a few hours of escape. Good luck
