I Quit Smoking, I Just Smoked One Cigarrette?
I haven’t smoked a cigarrette in nine days. I just got in a fight with my boyfriend and I just smoked a half a cigarette, I don’t know why, it didn’t really do anything for me, I just did. I want to continue with my quit!! Did this ruin it for me, did it put me back to phase 1, have I ruined all the benefits to my health that even the first week of non smoking does for you?

I don’t think smoking 1/2 of a cigarette will undue all the benefits you had by not smoking for 9 days. Best thing is to chalk it up to a goof you made and get back on the wagon. Everyone is entitled to one mistake, this was yours. Stop worrying about messing up or you will get discouraged. It’s ok. Good Luck.

I can understand why, just don’t continue to smoke.
I tried everything to stop.

It happens. I quit last Sept. and it was so hard the first couple of months. I wouldn’t allow myself to buy any packs, but if I was feeling really desperate and only if someone was around that had one, I would allow myself to have a puff. I did this for the first two months. and now I don’t even think about having a cigarette. I think if you say no no no to yourself it becomes too much of a struggle. But by quitting as a learning experience, seeing what triggers the habit it can be overcome.

Well sort of . If you consider smoking to be on a diet . Maybe smoke a cigar next time ..j/k
Just find an alternative of smoking when you have fights with your bf.
