I want to get better rates on life insurance. I anticipate being blood tested for evidence of nicotine. How long must I quit smoking, which I need to do anyway, before I can confidently take the swab test?

discuss this with your insurance provider. follow up with a pulmonologist to assess the level of damage to your lungs.
