Smoking Cigarettes ?
I started smoking young, in grade 9. I smoked for 5 years and im only 19. I quit smoking!
I didnt have a cigarette from June 2nd until July 3rd, then i tried one, it tasted horrible.. it made me gag. I dont know how I ever smoked. its stupid. The reason why i quit was because I was spending 280 a month on cigarettes and I am on puffers, advair and pulmicort which is another 200 a month!! I just cant beleive how much money I have wasted on sickness… anyway my question is… how long will it take for me to really feel the benefits of quitting? do i have a lower risk from getting cancer and what not? also since i quit im been spitting up flem and my nose has been stuffy when will this stop? what is my body saying?

LOOK DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE MAKE YOU FEEL BAD THAT YOU SMOKED. I HAVE MANY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THAT SMOKE AND THEY HAVE NONE GAVE ME HARD TIME IT IS HARD TO STOP.
PEOPLE THEY STOPPED SO STOP WITH YOUR DAMAGE YOU TICK ME OFF. AND I’M THROUGH WITHTHE WITH DRAWLS AND IGNORANCE IS NOT WHT A PERSON WHOM IS AND ADDICT TO CIGARETTES NEED.
Your lungs should start clearing up soon if not damaged permanently. I too stopped smoking now going on 2 months. I have not picked up another one. I have allergies that are horrible. Then Asthma came on 3 to 5 years ago I was lying to myself every time I smoked and started having an asthma attack. Until we had 6 days of rain and I’m allergic to 2 types of of mold I walked outside and I could not breath. My inhaler was not working and I take Singular at night, but nothing was working. I have wanted a cigarette so bad but I can not forget how I could not breath. I have to get a lung x ray and keep going to the doctor’s for many medical issues. So I will not pick up acigarettee.v I weigh out the good and the bad. I suggest you get your doctor to get your lungs x rayed and to follow up on your care. I have slumped into to depression and I can not figure out why I can not pull myself out of it. I’m wondering if it is nicotinee with drawls Allergy and new asthma medication. I wish you luck on your quiting and coughing up the flem is normal your lungs is getting what is in your lungs. The stuffy nose sounds like allergies you may have already had, Because my nose is less stuffy since I stopped, but I have allergies to grass tress, dust, dogs cockroaches………….. It is not easy but just make up your mind that you do not want to die from smoking. I have seen someone die from smoking and it is a horrible death. If and when I go I pray it will be quick.

Hmm..let’s see. I quit smoking in March, smoked for 6 years..and I would really say the first time I really noticed was maybe around may? I had been trying to train for a 5 k and i usually run at the gym and I think the first time I ran outside was around May and after running over a mile I still wasn’t huffing and puffing yet. It’s exciting
Good job!
