What’s The Longest You Quit Smoking For?-&...
my worst time was being stuck in the hospital for 2 weeks without smoking, & after seeing a friend quit for 5 years, I was shocked when she started back up again, & thought if that happens to someone then It would happen to me if I tried to quit forever the way life is going.

I quit twice when I was pregnant (obviously I quit because I was pregnant and started immediately after I had them because I liked smoking). Then I quit a third time for about 1 year on a bet with three other people and they all failed so I decided to start again…because they did! (Stupid) Then I smoked on a regular basis after that for about a year. Then I sort of quit…I would just smoke when I drank ocassionally and did that for about 5 years. Now I haven’t smoked in 1 month (fingers crossed)!

People go back to smoking because they are not determined to quit. The cigarette companies are raping the public with a trash product that would never be approved by the FDA if it came out as a now product now. Cigarettes are excempt from FDA approval because of the heavy lobbying that has been done by the rapists that run the tobacco industry. You are crazy to even touch a cigarette with a ten-foot pole, my friend. Give it up now. The get you addicted with nicotine manipulation and who knows what other chemicals they shove down your throat.

I quit about 10 years ago, and there is no starting up again.
Remember when you started smoking, you coughed, and coughed, and it tasted like crap? But you were proud of yourself, and patted yourself on the back, until you got hooked.
When quiting you have to do the same thing, every moment your not smoking you have to pat yourself on the back and be proud of yourself. Pretty soon, it will take hold!

I only smoked for a year when I was in my early 20′s. I was able to quit cold turkey b/c I wasn’t a serious smoker.
As with any addiction, you may feel the pull for the rest of your life to return to the addiction. It’s a life long battle and choice.

I quit 17 months ago while I was pregnant. I haven’t taken it back up since I’m still breastfeeding, but I do miss it. I don’t think I would miss it as much if my husband would quit. I hope I don’t start again.

Under strict Doctor’s orders, I was forced to quit smoking, drinking alcohol and anything with caffeine all at the same time.It was longest 2 minutes and 32 seconds in my life.

The longest was 8 months. And then I don’t really know what happened. I was under a lot of pressure from school and I started bartending. And I’ve been smoking again since then.

I quit for 9 months when I was pregnant. I went back to smoking after having my daughter. I only quit because I HAD to, not because I wanted to! That’s the difference!

I got hypnotized and quit for 3 months but I started again just because I wanted to.
