Fasting as a system for smoking cessation
A growing proportion of the huge number of published “stop smoking” articles and books seem to have either overlooked or simply ignored the information revealed in this article, and that is that fasting can be an impressive addition to your arsenal of weapons against nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
In fact fasting may well be one of the best systems to aid you in your fight to stop smoking. It will almost certainly help your focus and increase your willpower. An awful number of smokers simply feel that they can’t give up smoking when they actually can.
Many cultures and religions regularly use fasting, and it is worth considering using the fasting method detailed below if you are trying to quit smoking.
To quit smoking you will probably need to fast for 72 hours and you should fast on water or carrot juice and boiled plain brown rice for a consecutive three days. If you really struggle with fasting and find you can not manage 72 hours straight then you can try fasting for a single day every week for 3 weeks, or fast for 3 days as close together as you can manage.
