Classes to quit smoking

The Howard County Health Department is providing free smoking cessation classes to anyone who lives or works in Howard County. New classes begin this month.
Seven-week sessions at 7178 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, beginning this week. A session will be held at the Glenwood Senior Center, 2400 State Route 97, Cooksville, from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 14.
Space is limited, so early registration is suggested. Deadline is tomorrow. Medication support is available for those who qualify. Individual cessation counseling is also available by appointment only. Information or to register: 410-313-6265 or www.hchealth.org.
