Quit Smoking Log day 37

nikitejay asked:

WOW!!! Over 5 weeks!!! Who would’ve thunk it?

Sorry about the music. It messed up a couple minutes before the end. Windows Movie Maker interpreted the track to be over 12 minutes long. (Clearly that is wrong.) Thank you Windows for messing up my video!

I meant when I “started”. Duh.

  2. nikitejay Says:

I’m glad you found inspiration. As far as the way I look, it was 40 degrees celcius when I stared. If you’re American, that’s over 100. So I was constantly sweaty. Anyway, it’s fricken cold as hell now, but I just posted 2 more videos seconds ago and I look like a dog. Ce la vie.
Good luck with quitting! I’ll be happy to help you if I can!

Great job!! I’m desperately searching for inspiration to quit, and you’re it! I must say, you look much better since your first videos.

  4. happyprometheus Says:

WOW! You have overwhelmed my mind. I hope you work in a nice company with nice people. Your videos are getting better and better.

  5. nikitejay Says:

    Ron,
That’s so sweet! It’s a bonus to me that these videos are helping anyone. I started them to keep myself on track. It’s really great (and weird) to know that others look forward to hearing my trials and tribulations!
Thanks for your kind words and for being loyal to my videos!
    Nikita

Thanks HappyP! My current job is not creative at all. It’s probably what many would consider very dull. I’m in accounting. BUT I’m a seamstress and had my own design business. I have a diploma in dress making and design. I’m an artist and have sold a few of my paintings as well. I write short stories and poetry. I dabble in interior decorating and carpentry. My first job was as a model for John Casablanca Modeling Agencies, I did promotional gigs and print.Did that satisfy your curiosity? LOL!

I don’t know how you do it. Every video you give me the strength to keep going. When I feel I want to smoke, I replay you videos. Please keep posting your videos. You are one special lady. Your husband is the luckiest person in the world to have a person like you.

    Your friend

    Ron

Hey, good video and cool virtual glasses!
What is your job,BTW, something creative?
You are becoming a non-smoking guru!

I am so glad that I am a committed non-smoker from my childhood. :)

  9. nikitejay Says:

If you have to do something destructive, pick the alcohol, at least you can recover from that!

Do you mean your video in support of MacB where you got strangers to say her screen name? That was awesome! I 5 starred you.

  10. phaedress Says:

You make it look so easy. I’m still gnashing my teeth and hating being without today (like RIGHT NOW!).
The one thing I haven’t considered is having a smoke…but jumping from windows or becoming an alcoholic suggest themselves from time to time.
You should watch the vid I made for macB.

  11. nikitejay Says:

LOL! I was just watching your friend macbraveheart’s video to you, while you were here watching this! What a tiny little youtube world! LOL!
I think when you were quitting, I was still thinking about making the commitment. Trying to get my head in the right place.

  12. phaedress Says:

You are so smart…where were you when I was quitting?

You know, at the beginning, I did have a grain of doubt. But I stand strong it saying that if you believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything!
Now I just have to think of it, like, not at all. THAT will be success!

  17. lambeausouth Says:

You’ve got it beaten sweetie! :-) You had this planned all along for success!

  18. nikitejay Says:

oh oh Oh!!! Sweet Victory indeed! ANOTHER x-smoker! For you, I imagine there is no desire what so ever! 10 years is a long time!

Thank you soooooooooooooo much for your encouragement and support! My friend! Peace and Love!

  19. nikitejay Says:

Thanks so much for your support Hallbe!
Funny what we learn about each other here on “the tube”!
I would never had guessed that you were ever a smoker! Congratulations to YOU!

Not smoking suites you much better! Love!

  20. KamakaTexas Says:

Nikita! Woo hoo! You go, girl! Congratulations! The hardest part is OVER!

You are to be commended for encouraging others to quit! You’ve proven that you can take control over the clutches of tobacco addiction instead of allowing it to control your life! This is sweet victory!

(This month marks the 10-year anniversary of my quitting smoking, and I’m never going back there! I smoked for 22 years.)

  21. hallbe Says:

    WooHoo!! You rock!!

You know it’s been 7 months for me and everytime I talk to my family in Seattle, the first thing they ask…”Are you still not somking?” It’s funny how the people who most care about me, and were the most pesty for me to quit…still can’t believe I’ve really done it. Go figure!

  22. nikitejay Says:

    Thank you Jean!
